The Wild Lotus is back in Maine for some summer fun and yoga. Please join me for a workshop series at 453 Route One, Kittery all classes begin at 8:30 am and end at 10:00 am. *
RESTORATION: Neem Karoli Baba said, “If there is dust on the mirror of the heart, you don’t see your true face.” In this class we’ll begin to polish not only the dust and dents out of the hearts, but our bodies and minds, as well.
YOGASTHA: What does it mean to be “fixed in yoga?” In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna instructs Arjuna, “Yogastha Kuru Karmani” in answer to the question of how to act. To be successful in the practices, they must affect our lives and relationships in a positive manner. It’s not about mastering the poses; it’s about inquiry into which practices bring you closer to the person you desire to be. This is all part of acting with the discernment of a yogi.
I AM THE WARRIOR: We do the practices to build muscle. I like to think that the heart muscle is the most important. Join me for a strong standing-pose practice in which we’ll explore the warrior poses and what it means to stand on the edge of the battlefield of life and act accordingly.
LILA (REDISCOVERING PLAY): One of my favorite teachers once said that without love and humor, yoga is just a lot of hard work. Leave your fears and insecurities behind and learn how to make your yoga mat your playground and your practice a trip to Wonderland. Coming back to “the real world” after this practice is entirely up to you.
Payment must be received in advance. Make checks payable to Kelly Steere and mail to the above address. Please indicate which workshops you are interested in attending. The cost is $20 per workshop. If you are registering for all four workshops the price is $72.
*Optional chanting before each workshop (please arrive promptly at 8:10 and we’ll begin at 8:15). Also, there will be an extended Savasana on July 16th if you wish to stay for further restoration and group energy healing.
